This auto-industry veteran looks back 54 years at the state of the art of auto making in America in those golden years before expensive fuels and competition from Japan and Korea. It was interesting.
The title is a steal from Chrysler’s advertising when it launched its new 1957 models. Its headline “Suddenly it’s 1960!” was brilliant for the new Chryslers, Dodges and Plymouths that shared Virgil Exner’s sleek and stunning new styling.
