The Exeter Road Race
On November 5, 1951 at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire I presented my English teacher with the following text. I've added some illustrations for your better appreciation.
This fall, on my way back to school I stopped for two days in the small town of Watkins Glen, New York. On the second of these two days three sports-car road races were held on the roads adjoining the town, which had been blocked off for the occasion.
